Are you the best?  Myrmidon training Systems cordially invites the baddest and best wrestlers from across the Midwest to make a trip to the great state of Michigan this spring to put their talents on display at the 7th Annual Myrmidon Spring Classic!
 
Wrestling is becoming a year-round lifestyle as opposed to just a winter season sport and post-season wrestling has become a staple for those looking to compete at the next level.  The Myrmidon Spring Classic provides an environment to compete during this crucial off season time right here in the Midwest. 
 
Myrmidon Spring Classic will feature 5 different styles: Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco-Roman, Submission Grappling, and "Frecko." If youth wrestlers win 3 out of the 4 divisions you will be rewarded with the ever elusive and highly sought out "Myrmidon Grand Champion" t-shirt. This year's event will once again invite the roughest and toughest Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Open athletes.

New this year, Cadet, Junior, and Open Divisions will be FRECKO only; a unique spectacle featuring all three wrestling style in a single match!
 
 The MSC will be held at West Ottawa High School in Holland, MI.

WHAT IS "FRECKO?"

• Basic rules are congruent with current UWW and NFHS rules and scoring. Key differences:

• 2-2-2 periods

• First period is folkstyle, second is greco-roman, third is freestyle

• 15 second break between periods

• 15 point technical fall

• In the case of overtime, wrestler will have a sudden death overtime match of Attack Bands (no time)

• Red/Blue singlets are not required; headgear is optional

Holland, Michigan is centrally located in right in the center of the Midwest. West Ottawa High School is just 150 miles from the Ohio state line, 90 miles from the Indiana state line,  140 miles from the Illinois state line, and 400 miles from the Pennsylvania state line.
